Overview:

This is the best tour for panda fans, which also present the most amazing part of China to you. You will have chance to get a closer observation of both adult pandas and baby pandas in Chengdu. If you like, we can even design a panda volunteering experience for you. This tour is also a culture-stuffed adventure. After your panda trip, you will travel to Beijing and Xi’an. Take in those World Heritage Sites, such as the Terracotta Warriors, Great Wall, Forbidden City, Summer Palace along the way. Day 1Chengdu Arrival

Welcome to Chengdu! After retriving your luggage, you’ll find your local guide waiting for you in the airport arrivals hall holding a welcome sign with your name on it. After a warm greeting, our guide will take you to the hotel in a comfortable and air-conditioned vehicle, and your guide will assist you with check-in.

Day 2Chengdu-Leshan

Attractions: Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Wenshu Temple, Wenshufang, Renmin Park, Jinli Old Street

This morning you will make a stirring visit to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding which is not only the most important panda scientific research center, but also dwelling home to more than 100 Giant Pandas. Don’t miss the chance to visit the most adorable panda cubs in the panda kindergartens. You will be taken to a hidden spiritual Buddhist temple in the bustling downtown of Chengdu – Wenshu Temple. Adjacent to the monastery is a small bazaar (Wenshufang) where you can experience local market and living style. Chengdu is famous for its relaxing and leisure pace throughout China, which will be proved after a stay in Renmin Park. Next is an impressive trip to the famous Jinli Old Street.

Day 3Chengdu-Xi'an

Attractions: Dufu Thatched Cottage, Jinsha Site Museum

Take a visit to Dufu Thatched Cottage which is a museum and park in honor of Dufu (712-770AD), who was the greatest realist poet and has been famed as the Sage of Poetry. Next, you will take a meaningful visit to Jinsha Site Museum. Constructed on the Jinsha ruin site which reveals the unique bronze civilization of the mysterious ancient Shu Kingdom (approximately 2900 – 3200 years ago), Jinsha Site Museum conserves the original expansive site for sacrifice as well as numerous ivory tusks and gold artifacts, including the symbol of China Culture Heritage – the Gold Sun and Immortal Bird.

Day 4Xi'an

Attractions: Terracotta Warriors, Ancient City Wall, Muslim Quarter, Great Mosque of Xi’an

Drive to discover one of the greatest man-made wonders in the world – the Terracotta Warriors, built by the first emperor of China Qin Shihuang to protect him in his afterlife. Take a wonderful stroll on the Ancient City Wall, the largest and best-preserved ancient city wall in China. This visit is followed by a relaxing wander around bustling and lively Muslim Quarter. Don’t miss the Great Mosque of Xi’an which is a fusion of Chinese culture and Islamic culture, a sacred religious site with huge ancient architectural complex, also a surprisingly quiet land away from the hustiling and bustling Muslim streets.

Day 5Xi'an-Beijing

Attractions: Da Cien Temple, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Shaanxi History Museum

Head to Da Cien Temple, a famous Buddhist sutra translation site during the Tang Dynasty. Big Wild Goose Pagoda is the most famous building in the temple which was built by the famous Buddhist master Xuanzang. Next is an educational visit to the Shaanxi History Museum where you can ramble in the modern exhibition halls to appreciate historic relics such as porcelains, paintings, and currencies dating from the Zhou to the Tang dynastic periods (1100BC to 907 AD).

Day 6Beijing

Attractions: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Jingshan Park, Summer Palace

Start to explore the historical face of Beijing with a brief visit to Tiananmen Square, now the largest city plaza in the world. Stepping into the Tiananmen, you will see one of the world’s five most important palaces – the Forbidden City, a huge palace complex of more than 9,000 rooms where 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties lived.

After Forbidden City exploration, take a short visit to Jingshan Park. Drive to Summer Palace, the largest and best-preserved royal garden in China.

Day 7Beijing

Attractions: Mutianyu Great Wall, Sacred Way, Bird’s Nest, Water Cube

Witness one of the Seven Wonders of the World – the Great Wall. Visit the Mutianyu Great Wall, a less crowded yet well-preserved segment of the Great Wall built in the Ming Dynasty. It will more than live up to all of your expectations! Continue your trip to Sacred Way, a 7-kilometer-long passage leading to the Imperial Tombs of 13 Emperors of Ming Dynasty. Then drive back to Beijing city and take a short stop at the Beijing Olympic Village to view its famous Bird’s Nest and Water Cube from the outside.

Day 8Beijing-Shanghai

Attractions: Temple of Heaven

Drive to the imperial site of the Temple of Heaven. Then experience the Beijing Hutongs – small alleys made by neighboring quadrangle dwellings. After Beijing tour, your tour is about to end.

Day 9Shanghai

Attractions: Shanghai Museum, Yu Garden, Shanghai World Financial Center, Nanjing Road, the Bund

You will visit Shanghai Museum, one of the Four Best Museums in China. Then, transfer to Shanghai old town to visit Yu Garden (Yuyuan), a famous Southern China classical garden which was originally built about 450 years ago. Next, visit the Shanghai World Financial Center (SWFC), “the Eye of Shanghai”, one of the most incredible skyscrapers in Lujiazui. Later, get to Nanjing Road, Shanghai’s earliest commercial street and one of the most popular current landmarks. Continue your walk to the Bund, the No. 1 attraction in Shanghai.

Day 10Shanghai-Departure

Attractions: Zhujiajiao Water Town

In the morning, we will drive to visit the famous Zhujiajiao Water Town with boat trip, which is the nearest ancient water town around Shanghai, with a history of more than 1,700 years. Then service ends!
