Day 1Arrival in Beijing & Pick-up

Beijing Airport Parking Lot

Upon your arrival in Beijing, your guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Relax in the hotel during the remainder of the day, or you can have a self-exploration with suggestions from your guide. 

Day 2Beijing

Attractions: Tian’anmen Square, Exterior of the National Centre, Forbidden City, Tea ceremony, Temple of Heaven

 Today we start to explore this city treasure by a visit to Tian’anmen Square, the world’s largest city center square, the locality of numerous major political and historical events. It is the witness of Chinese development. You will also be able to have a photo stop at The National Centre for the Performing Arts, formerly known as the National Grand Theatre, and colloquially described as The Egg. Afterwards, a few walk to Forbidden City, the world’s existing largest and most complete ancient wooden structure buildings. You will explore the glorious palace halls and gardens for more than 2 hours in Forbidden City, learning the legendary story of the emperors and how the royal family lived there.

Lunch is served at a local Indian restaurant. Enjoy a tea ceremony in a tea house en route.In the afternoon, we will Temple of Heaven, the existing largest structure for sacrifice to heaven and a place where the emperors prayed for a year of abundance. In the visit of Temple of Heaven, you will be astonished by the exquisite ancient Chinese architectures.

Day 3China Great Wall Tour

Attractions: Mutianyu Great Wall, Niaochao National Stadium, Sacred Way

Mutianyu Great Wall

This morning you will be taken to Mutianyu Great Wall to experience at first hand the wonder of the Great Wall. The round-trip cable car will be arranged. Standing on the wall and looking at it stretching up and down into boundless distance is an exciting experience and will leave you a life-long memory. Lunch is on your own and your guide will gladly assist.Continue your trip to Sacred Way, a 7-kilometer-long passage leading to the Imperial Tombs of 13 Emperors of Ming Dynasty. The Emperor, known as the Son of the Heaven, who came from Heaven to his country through the Sacred Way, also would return to Heaven through this road.

 Niaochao National Stadium

Then drive by the Olympic National Stadium, also known as the Bird’s Nest. You will see its unique appearance and take nice photos at a distance. Today’s last stop is a featured local market.

Day 4Beijing to Xian by High-speed Train

Attractions: Summer Palace (Yiheyuan)

Visit the Summer Palace – the largest existing imperial garden with a graceful landscape and magnificent constructions.

Hutong Tour
Then a trip to the old Hutongs will conclude your day. Taking the local rickshaw and traveling along the narrow lanes, you will get a close touch with the original Beijing lifestyle and culture.

Xi’an
In the afternoon, you will experience a 5-hour high speed train to Xi’an. Your local guide and driver will meet you at Xi’an North Railway Station and drive you to check in at the hotel.

Day 5Xi'an

Attractions:Terracotta Warriors, pottery workshop, North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Ancient City Wall

Today we will drive to the highlights in Xi’an —the Terracotta Warriors. On the way to Terracotta Warriors, we will have a stop at a pottery workshop, where you will have chance to learn how to make a pottery figure as a gift made by yourself. We will have enough time to visit this world wonder — Terracotta Warriors, one of the world’s most important archaeological finds, with troops, horses and carriages in battle formation.

Afterwards, we drive to downtown and walk on the North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda for a while. You will also have chance to watch the North plaza fountain show. Lunch will be arranged in a local Indian restaurant nearby.In the afternoon, we drive back to visit the Ancient City Wall, which represents one of the oldest and best preserved Chinese city walls. You may choose to ride a bicycle(optional) on the wall to go around. (We will visit the Bell Tower instead of the city wall if the weather does not permit.)

The tour finishes by dropping-off at the hotel lobby. You could ask your local guide for some information about evening entertainment or night show, such as Tang Dynasty Show.

Day 6Xi'an to Zhangjiajie by Flight

Attractions: Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang), Great Mosque of Xi’an, Muslim Quarter

Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang)
The day begins with a leisure visit to the City Wall Park, where you can observe the day-to-day life of the locals. After that, you will pay a visit to the City Wall. It is the most complete existing urban fortification in China. Cycling on the ancient wall is an exciting experience that many people like to try (bike rental fee is not included).

Great Mosque of Xi’an
Next, you will visit the Great Mosque, a remarkable Islamic cultural relic, which perfectly combines Chinese traditional with Islamic architectural styles.

Muslim Quarter
Around the mosque is a lively Muslim bazaar, where you could explore for local snacks and handicrafts.

Zhangjiajie
Then, your guide and driver will escort you to the airport to catch the flight to Zhangjiajie. Upon arrival, you will be picked up and transferred to the hotel directly.

Day 7Zhangjiajie

Attractions: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park

Today you will have a full day tour in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Firstly, you will take the Bailong Elevator to the Yuanjiajie Scenic Area which is famous for the Southern Sky Column – the shooting spot of the famous movie Avatar. Afterwards, your guide will accompany you to take a battery car to Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve. Later, go to the Golden Whip Stream. You will then head for Ten-mile gallery by a small train. Finally return to the hotel.

Day 8Zhangjiajie to Shanghai by Plane

Attractions: The Grand Canyon of Zhangjiajie, Baofeng Lake

The Grand Canyon of Zhangjiajie
Today’s first destination is Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. This Grand Canyon can be regarded as the Zhangjiajie landscape museum, integrating mountains, caves, and water in a composite experience. In addition, the Glass Bridge here is the world’s longest and highest, with a relative height of around 400 meters (1,300 feet) and a length of 370 meters (400 yards). You may challenge yourself to cross it.

Baofeng Lake
Later, you will take a boat on the Baofeng Lake. The picturesque landscape around the lake, along with the beautiful folksongs by local people in traditional costumes, will offer you a great experience.

Day 9Zhangjiajie to Shanghai by Flight

Attractions: Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park

Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park
Tianmen Mountain is the highest mountain in Zhangjiajie. Its name comes from the natural wonder – Tianmen Cave. If you are energetic enough, you may try climbing the well-known 999 stairs. In China, this stair means permanent relationship.

Shanghai
You will then be escorted to catch an evening flight to Shanghai. When you arrive in Shanghai, your guide and driver of the following private Shanghai tour will transfer you to your hotel.

Day 10Shanghai

Attractions: Shanghai Museum (Shanghai Bowuguan), Yu Garden (Yuyuan), Huangpu River, The Bund (Wai Tan), Tianzifang

Shanghai Museum (Shanghai Bowuguan)
This morning, Your local tour guide will pick you up at your hotel. You will visit one of the four largest museums in China, the Shanghai Museum, which specializes in exhibiting artworks from ancient times.

Yu Garden (Yuyuan)
After that, explore Yu Garden. The symbol of the Garden is the Nine Zigzag Bridge built of granite and grass-white jade and the quaint, elegant mid-lake pavilion. Around noon, an a la carte farewell lunch will be served to you at a very nice restaurant.

Huangpu River
Take a one-hour cruise along the Huangpu River – the mother river of Shanghai. As the symbol and a microcosm of the city, the river has witnessed the glory, humiliation, despair, and prosperity of Shanghai.

The Bund (Wai Tan)
Have some free time in the Bund area. Upon returning to the hotel, your guide will see you into the lobby to say bon voyage.

Tianzifang
The last stop is a traditional street named Tianzifang, where is full of a sense of culture and arts.

After breakfast at the hotel, your private guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel and transfer you to the airport on time. We wish you have a pleasant journey home.
