Beijing Airport Parking Lot

Upon your arrival in Beijing, your guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Relax in the hotel during the remainder of the day, or you can have a self-exploration with suggestions from your guide. 

Day 2Beijing

Attractions: Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang), Forbidden City-The Palace Museum, Temple of Heaven, Hutong Tour

Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang)
This morning, your tour guide will pick up you at the hotel and take you to visit Tiananmen Square. You will see what the biggest urban city square in the world looks like.

Forbidden City-The Palace Museum
From Tiananmen Square, you will enter the Imperial Palace, also known as the Forbidden City to explore its fascinating halls and pavilions. Here, you will not only learn how the emperor handled political affairs and lived their lives, but appreciate numerous ancient art treasures. At noon, an a la carte welcome lunch will be served at a superb local restaurant, where you can have a taste of authentic Chinese food.

Temple of Heaven
In the afternoon, you will see the Temple of Heaven with its unique architectures, where the emperors worshiped the heavens in hopes of good harvests.

Day 3China Great Wall Tour

Attractions: Mutianyu Great Wall, Niaochao National Stadium, Sacred Way

Mutianyu Great Wall

This morning you will be taken to Mutianyu Great Wall to experience at first hand the wonder of the Great Wall. The round-trip cable car will be arranged. Standing on the wall and looking at it stretching up and down into boundless distance is an exciting experience and will leave you a life-long memory. Lunch is on your own and your guide will gladly assist.Continue your trip to Sacred Way, a 7-kilometer-long passage leading to the Imperial Tombs of 13 Emperors of Ming Dynasty. The Emperor, known as the Son of the Heaven, who came from Heaven to his country through the Sacred Way, also would return to Heaven through this road.

Niaochao National Stadium

Then drive by the Olympic National Stadium, also known as the Bird’s Nest. You will see its unique appearance and take nice photos at a distance. Today’s last stop is a featured local market.

Day 4Beijing - Lhasa

Lhasa

You will take a morning flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the local guide at the airport on time. In addition to a brief introduction of the city, the guide will also give you some useful tips on obviating high altitude reaction when the car is driving to the downtown area. Later what you need to do is have a good rest in your hotel to adapt yourself to the environment.

Day 5Lhasa

Attractions: Tibet Museum, Sera Monastery, Norbulingka (Precious Stone Garden)

Tibet Museum
The first spot you will visit is the Tibet Museum, which well describes the peculiar Tibetan culture and history via plenty of collections

Sera Monastery
After having lunch at a fancy local restaurant, you will get to the Sera Monastery, one of the greatest monasteries for Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism.

Norbulingka (Precious Stone Garden)
Then visit the Norbulingka Park, the once summer house for generations of living Buddha and the nowadays local largest created garden.

Day 6Lhasa

Attractions: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street

Potala Palace
Today’s first stop is Potala Palace, which was built 1,300 years ago. You will wonder at the splendor of its beautiful architecture that combines the styles of Tibetan temple and palace.

Jokhang Temple
Then you will proceed to the 1370-year-old Jokhang Temple, the ultimate pilgrimage destination for Tibetan Pilgrims. You will get close to Tibetan Buddhism here and learn about the loyal believers.

Barkhor Street
Next, you will continue to the iconic Barkhor Street, where you will find the original look of Lhasa. Strolling on the stone road, you will enjoy the quaint ancient buildings and the delicate handicrafts. Finally, you will head to a Nunnery to get close to the lifestyle of Buddhist nuns.

Day 7Lhasa - Xi'an

Xi’an
The morning is free for you to have a rest at the hotel. Around noon, you will take a flight to Xian, where your local guide is waiting for you at the airport and will transfer you the downtown hotel.

Day 8Xi’an

Attractions: The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, Small Goose Pagoda, Shaanxi History Museum

The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses
The visit to the magnificent Terracotta Army will start your day’s trip. In the museum, there are altogether three excavated pits exhibiting amazing warrior figures and Chinese ancient weapons. Lunch is on your own, but your guide will recommend restaurants around the site according to your preference.

Small Goose Pagoda
In the afternoon, you will visit Xi’an Museum and then the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, which was built about 1,300 years ago in the Tang Dynasty to store the Buddhist scriptures brought from ancient India.

Shaanxi History Museum
Visit the Provincial History Museum, which is a crucial window to display the excellent culture of this ancient city and China, as well as a connecting bridge for cultural exchange with the outside world.

Day 9Xi'an

Attractions: Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang), Great Mosque of Xi’an

Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang)
The day begins with a leisure visit to the City Wall Park, where you can observe the day-to-day life of the locals. After that, you will pay a visit to the City Wall. It is the most complete existing urban fortification in China. Cycling on the ancient wall is an exciting experience that many people like to try (bike rental fee is not included).

Great Mosque of Xi’an
Next, you will visit the Great Mosque, a remarkable Islamic cultural relic, which perfectly combines Chinese traditional with Islamic architectural styles.

Day 10Xi'an -Shanghai

Shanghai
You will take a morning flight to Shanghai and then your local guide will expect you at the airport and escort you to check in the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore this city by yourself.

Day 11Shanghai

Attractions: Shanghai Museum (Shanghai Bowuguan), Yu Garden (Yuyuan), Huangpu River, The Bund (Wai Tan), Tianzifang

Shanghai Museum (Shanghai Bowuguan)
This morning, Your local tour guide will pick you up at your hotel. You will visit one of the four largest museums in China, the Shanghai Museum, which specializes in exhibiting artworks from ancient times.

Yu Garden (Yuyuan)
After that, explore Yu Garden. The symbol of the Garden is the Nine Zigzag Bridge built of granite and grass-white jade and the quaint, elegant mid-lake pavilion. Around noon, an a la carte farewell lunch will be served to you at a very nice restaurant.

Huangpu River
Take a one-hour cruise along the Huangpu River – the mother river of Shanghai. As the symbol and a microcosm of the city, the river has witnessed the glory, humiliation, despair, and prosperity of Shanghai.

The Bund (Wai Tan)
Have some free time in the Bund area. Upon returning to the hotel, your guide will see you into the lobby to say bon voyage.

Tianzifang
The last stop is a traditional street named Tianzifang, where is full of a sense of culture and arts.
