Day 1Shanghai Arrival

Welcome to Shanghai! After retrieving your luggage.Our guide will wait at the airport, holding a sign with your name on it. After a warm greeting, you will be taken to the hotel we have booked for you, which have prefect infrastructure.The rest of the day is at your disposal, you can take a warm rest or explore this city on your own.

 

Day 2Shanghai

Attractions:Shanghai Museumm,the Bund, Yu Garden, Shanghai World Financial Center

A full day sightseeing begins with the Shanghai Museum, where you will experience the richness of Chinese culture. We will then take a fun walk in the charming Former French Concession. 

The next stop is Yu Garden, a representation of traditional Chinese gardens. Walking through its decorated bridges, you may feel like stepping back in time to 400 years ago. Right next to the garden, you’ll get to the Yuyuan Market, where you can taste local snacks or buy unique souvenirs. Besides, you’ll visit a silk workshop to see how small cocoons are transformed into elegant silk. End the day with a bird’s view of the city from the 100th floor of Shanghai World Financial Center.

End with the Bund to take in heritage buildings featuring architectural styles from Neoclassical to Gothic to Baroque. While walking on the streets full of various colonial architecture, the epitome of 19th-century Shanghai will come to your mind vividly.

 

 

 

Day 3Shanghai-Chengdu

Attractions: Jade Buddha Temple, Tianzifang

In the morning, you will visit Jade Buddha Temple, home to the world’s largest emerald Buddha and numerous religious artifacts, ancient statues, and Buddhist scriptures.

Next, you will be transferred to Tianzifang, a typical tourist attraction to appreciate the local Shikumen architectural preservation, and in this place full of strong life, you can stroll leisurely through the clean old alleys.

In the afternoon, your guide will escort you to the airport for a flight to Guilin. The rest of the day is your time for leisure.

Day 4Chengdu

Attractions: Wenshu Temple, Wenshufang, Renmin Park, Jinli Old Street

After breakfast, you will be taken to a hidden spiritual Buddhist temple in the bustling downtown of Chengdu – Wenshu Temple. Adjacent to the monastery is a small bazaar (Wenshufang) where you can experience local market and living style. Chengdu is famous for its relaxing and leisure pace throughout China, which will be proved after a stay in Renmin Park. Next is an impressive trip to the famous Jinli Old Street. As you quietly walk through the lively streets you will find a place full of delicious local snacks, exquisite artifacts, interesting folklore shows and other activities.

 

Day 5Chengdu

Attractions: Dujiangyan Panda Base

Today, you will go to the Dujiangyan Panda Base from 8:30 to 15:00 to experience a day of panda volunteer work.

There are over 40 giant pandas and 5 red pandas at the Dujiangyan Panda Base. During this one day panda volunteer program, you will experience a number of activities including honorary keepers cleaning bamboo, picking up droppings, cleaning enclosures, observing and understanding the condition and living conditions of pandas; preparing food for pandas and also experiencing making “panda cakes”; serving delicious “cakes” and fruits to pandas yourself, learning about the feeding habits of pandas and most importantly, watching how the zoo keepers feed pandas; watch a panda documentary to learn about the science of pandas, how humans protect them and how we can live in harmony with them.

At the end of your full day volunteer experience, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Chengdu, where you will be packed and transferred to the airport according to your schedule.

Day 6Chengdu - Lhasa

Day 7Lhasa

Attractions: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street

The grandiose Potala Palace will be the first place to discover. After more than 1300 years of historical changes, this colossal Palace still dominates the skyline of Lhasa city. In the afternoon, visit the holiest Buddhist temple in Tibet, Jokhang Temple with a history stretching over 1,300 years, where the 12-year-old-like Shakyamuni statue is consecrated. Outside the door of Jokhang Temple is the famous pilgrimage circle, Barkhor Street, where you can join faithful Tibetans in colorful attires walking the circle around Jokhang Temple.

Day 8Lhasa

Attractions: Norbulingka Park, Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery

Today is free for you to explore Lhasa city until your tour guide transfers you to the airport for your flight to Xi’an.

Welcome to Xi’an, the ancient capital of China! You will be met by your local guide at the arrival hall of Xi’an Xianyang Airport and escorted by private vehicle to your hotel in the city center. The rest of the day is at your disposal.

Day 10Xi'an

Attractions: Terracotta Warriors, Ancient City Wall, Muslim Quarter

Hotel: Overnight in Xi’an

Drive to discover one of the greatest man-made wonders in the world – the Terracotta Warriors, built by the first emperor of China Qin Shihuang to protect him in his afterlife. Take a wonderful stroll on the Ancient City Wall, the largest and best-preserved ancient city wall in China. This visit is followed by a relaxing wander around bustling and lively Muslim Quarter.

Day 11Xi'an-Beijing

Attractions: Da Cien Temple, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Shaanxi History Museum

A full day sightseeing begins with Da Cien Temple, a famous Buddhist sutra translation site during the Tang Dynasty. Big Wild Goose Pagoda is the most famous building in the temple which was built by the famous Buddhist master Xuanzang. Next is an educational visit to the Shaanxi History Museum where you can ramble in the modern exhibition halls to appreciate historic relics such as porcelains, paintings, and currencies dating from the Zhou to the Tang dynastic periods (1100BC to 907 AD).

Day 12Beijing

Attractions: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace

Today, we embark on our journey of exploration of Beijing from Tnanmen Square. Tiananmen Square is now the largest city square in the world.

Passing through Tiananmen Square, you can see the five most important palaces in the world, the Forbidden City. It was the residence of the Ming and Qing emperors and represented the supreme power of ancient China.

After that, we will spend a relaxing afternoon at the Summer Palace, the largest and best-preserved imperial garden in China.

Day 13Beijing

Attractions: The Great Wall, Water Cube, Bird’s Nest

After breakfast, our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel at the agreed time, and then drive about 70 km to witness one of the eight wonders of the world, the Great Wall. Visit the Mutianyu Great Wall, an off-the-beaten-path but well-preserved Ming Dynasty Great Wall, where you will take a cable car to Mutianyu! You will take a cable car up to the Great Wall and then hike the most beautiful and interesting part of Mutianyu. Afterwards, take the cable car down the mountain. Continue your journey to the Sacred Way, a 7 km long passage leading to the imperial tombs of the 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty. The emperors known as the Son of Heaven came to his country from heaven through the Sacred Way and would also return to heaven through this path. Walking through the largest archway in China and the Great Palace Gate, you will see 12 groups of sacred animals and 12 officials with magnificent stone guards. Then drive back to the city of Beijing, stopping briefly at the Beijing Olympic Village to view the overall appearance of its famous Bird’s Nest and Water Cube from a distance.

Day 14Beijing-Departure

Attractions: Temple of Heaven, Hutongs

Drive to the Temple of Heaven. Once a place where the emperor offered sacrifices and prayers, the Temple of Heaven has now become a lively place.

Then, head back to the city to experience the various Hutongs and learn about where Beijingers life.Walk through the different hutongs to experience the old Beijing way of life, visit various antique stores and small stores to get a real sense of the historical changes in Beijing, and visit a local family in a traditional hutong.

At the end of the tour, your trip to Beijing will come to an end. Near check-in time our tour guide will take you to the airport and you will be ready to go home.
