Day 1Guangzhou Arrival

Pick up your driver at Guangzhou airport or train station and transfer to your hotel in a comfortable private car. After checking into your hotel, the rest of the day is free to explore the city at your leisure!

Day 2Guangzhou

Attractions: Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall,Yuexiu Park ,Shamian Island,Canton Tower,Huacheng Square,Chen Clan Ancestral Hall

After breakfast, your local guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel. Start to explore the old and new Guangzhou City from Yuexiu Park, the largest city park in Guangzhou. You can enjoy the beautiful lakes, flowers and trees here. The most famous attraction in the park is the Five Sheep Sculpture, which is one of the symbols of Guangzhou and is regarded as the city’s mascot. After the morning stretching with fresh air, move your steps to the nearby Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. It is a combination of Chinese and Western architecture, built in the 1930s, and is one of the landmarks of Guangzhou. The Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall contains a wealth of exhibitions showcasing Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s life story, revolutionary course and ideological achievements. It is also a venue for various important commemorative and cultural events.

In this afternoon, visit the must-see Chen Clan Ancestral Hall.The interior of the ancestral hall displays a large number of precious relics and artifacts, such as carvings, paintings and calligraphy, celadon and ceramic figurines. The Chen Family Ancestral Hall is not only a historical and cultural heritage of Guangzhou, but also one of the representatives of traditional architecture in southern China.

Later, be transferred for about 10 minutes’ driving to see the quite different Shamian Island. you can enjoy the charming scenery along the river and visit various museums and cultural exhibition halls. Among them, Sha Mian Museum is a museum featuring the history and culture of Sha Mian, displaying a wealth of historical artifacts and photos. In addition, there are also some special snack stalls and restaurants in Sha Mian for tourists to taste local delicacies.

After the exploration, be transferred to the urban central axis in Zhujiang New Town to see the modern cityscape of Guangzhou at Huacheng Square. It is the landmark venue for Guangzhou’s hosting of the Asian Games and a world-renowned architectural complex.

Most importantly, appreciate the slim outline of the iconic Canton Tower on the opposite bank of Pearl River.

After the tour, be escorted back to your hotel.

 

Day 3Foshan

Attractions: Foshan Ancestral Hall,Lingnan Tiandi,Ancient Nanfeng Kiln,Shiwan Doll Street

After breakfast, your local guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Guangzhou downtown and drive about 1 hour to Foshan City that is famous for martial arts, ceramics and lion dancing.

Start your cultural exploration from the must-visit Ancestral Temple.The Ancestral Temple is one of the representatives of ancient architecture in Lingnan, famous for its exquisite architecture and rich cultural connotations. The temple enshrines the three saints of Lingnan – Wenchang Emperor, Guansheng Emperor and Yue Fei, and there are many ancient inscriptions and cultural relics to visit.

Continue your steps to the nearby Lingnan Tiandi, which is home to many ancient buildings, including residential houses, mansions and gardens, showcasing the unique style of Lingnan architecture. You can stroll through the streets and alleys, admire the exquisite details of traditional architecture, taste local delicacies, and participate in some traditional handicraft experience programs. Lingnan Tiandi is a perfect place to experience Lingnan culture.

Then, be driven about 15 minutes to visit Ancient Nanfeng Kiln in Shiwan. Here you can learn about the process of making traditional Chinese porcelain and enjoy some well-preserved exhibits of ancient porcelain. Nanfeng Guzao, also known as the “Museum of Living Porcelain”, shows visitors the unique charm of Foshan porcelain. At this attraction, you can also participate in the making of ceramics and experience traditional handicrafts.

Besides, take another fun stroll on Shiwan Doll Street outside.You can also watch potters in action and learn about the art of ceramic making in Shiwan, Foshan. There are many ceramic art studios and art stores where you can purchase exquisite ceramic pieces or participate in the production process yourself.

After the visiting, you will be sent back to your hotel in Guangzhou downtown with 1 hour’s driving. Have a nice sleep.
