Day 1Arrival in Beijing & Pick-up

Beijing Airport Parking Lot

Upon your arrival in Beijing, your guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Relax in the hotel during the remainder of the day, or you can have a self-exploration with suggestions from your guide.

Day 2Beijing

Attractions: Mutianyu Great Wall, Summer Palace (Yiheyuan),Niaochao National Stadium

Dingling Underground Palace

The first stop is Dingling Mausoleum, one of the 13 Ming Tombs in Beijing. This mausoleum is a shared burial area of the 13th Emperor of the Ming Dynasty Zhu Yijun and his wife and concubine. The mausoleum is also one of the three largest mausoleums in scale.

Beijing

Next, you will enjoy a 45 minute visit to Jade Carving Factory and have lunch in a local restaurant, you will have opportunity to purchase some fine products here.

Mutianyu Great Wall

Then you continue to join a Great Wall tour of the Mutianyu section. This part of the Great Wall famed of its magnificent landscape, while also being less crowded and touristy (cable cars are available and optional, you can pay it on spot). After the tour, we will transfer you back to your hotel.

Day 3China Great Wall Tour

Attractions: Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang), Forbidden City-The Palace Museum, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace (Yiheyuan)

Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang)

This morning, your tour guide will pick up you at the hotel and take you to visit Tiananmen Square. You will see what the biggest urban city square in the world looks like.

Forbidden City-The Palace Museum

From Tiananmen Square, you will enter the Imperial Palace, also known as the Forbidden City to explore its fascinating halls and pavilions. Here, you will not only learn how the emperor handled political affairs and lived their lives, but appreciate numerous ancient art treasures. At noon, an a la carte welcome lunch will be served at a superb local restaurant, where you can have a taste of authentic Chinese food.

Summer Palace (Yiheyuan)

Visit the Summer Palace – the largest existing imperial garden with a graceful landscape and magnificent constructions.

Temple of Heaven

In the afternoon, you will see the Temple of Heaven with its unique architectures, where the emperors worshiped the heavens in hopes of good harvests.

Day 4Beijing-Luoyang by High Speed Train

Attractions: Longmen Grottoes, LuoYang LaoCheng LiShi WenHua GuJie

Beijing

In the morning, the local driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby and transfer you to Beijing West Train Station for high speed train to Luoyang (G671/07:49-12:10).

Luoyang

Upon your arrival to Luoyang, the Luoyang guide and driver will greet you at the exit of train station by holding a name board. You will have a lunch before starting the visit.

Longmen Grottoes

After lunch, you will come to visit the famous Longmen Grottoes which is a treasure house of ancient stone-carving art more than 100,000 stone statues here, varying from 2-centimeter to 17.14-meter high, and extending for about 1,094 yards along both banks of Yi River. About 12 kilometers far away from Luoyang city, it is one of the three most valuable Buddhist Cave and rock carvings in China (2 hours).

LuoYang LaoCheng LiShi WenHua GuJie

Later, have a visit to Luoyang Old Street where you will find some interesting stalls selling crafts and snacks with local historical appealing.

Day 5Luoyang-Xian by High Speed Train

Attractions: Monastero Shaolin (Shaolin Temple), Luoyang Museum

Monastero Shaolin (Shaolin Temple)

Our tour guide and driver will pick you up in your hotel lobby in Luoyang at 8:30 am and then start the tour with the Shaolin Temple which is well-known for the birthplace of Chinese Zen Buddhism and Shaolin Martial Arts .You cannot wait for watching the Kongfu Show performance as the saying goes ‘All martial arts (Kongfu) are from Shaolin’. The Shaolin martial arts are an important part of the relics.

Luoyang Museum

After lunch at local restaurant, we will drive to visit Luoyang Museum. It is a historical museum of China and houses over 1,700 cultural and historical relics in 5 showrooms — a presentation of 5 different social development periods such as the Primitive Society, the Slavery Society, and the Feudal Society. Afterwards, you will be transferred to train station for high speed train to Xian (G823/17:57-19:30) .

Xi’an

When you get to Xian, the local driver is wait for transferring you to hotel for check in.

Day 6Xi'an to Shanghai by Flight

Attractions: Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang), The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses

The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses

The visit to the magnificent Terracotta Army will start your day’s trip. In the museum, there are altogether three excavated pits exhibiting amazing warrior figures and Chinese ancient weapons. Lunch is on your own, but your guide will recommend restaurants around the site according to your preference.

Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang)

The day begins with a leisure visit to the City Wall Park, where you can observe the day-to-day life of the locals. After that, you will pay a visit to the City Wall. It is the most complete existing urban fortification in China. Cycling on the ancient wall is an exciting experience that many people like to try (bike rental fee is not included).

Day 7 Xi’an

Attractions: Small Goose Pagoda, Xi’an Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayanta), Muslim Quarter

Hotel: Overnight in Xi’an

Small Goose Pagoda

In the morning, after your breakfast at hotel, meet your tour guide at your hotel lobby and then head to Small Wild Goose Pagoda first, which is one of the two completely preserved Tang Dynasty Buddhist Pagodas in Xian.

 Xi’an Museum

Next go to Xian Museum where you will find historical relics and learn about the history of this ancient capital city.

Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayanta)

The next stop is Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a landmark building in Xian, which was initially built to preserve the Buddhist sutras and statues brought back from ancient India by Monk Xuanzang in Tang Dynasty. You will listen to its interesting stories from your knowledgeable guide.

Muslim Quarter

The last stop of the tour is Bell & Drum Tower Square-Muslim Quarter where you will find lots of local snacks and handi-crafts.

Xi’an

After the tour, it’s time to say good bye. You will be transferred to airport or train station for your next destination.
