Overview:

Guilin, located in southern China, is often referred to as “paradise on earth” due to its stunning natural beauty. It is famous for its picturesque karst landforms, highlights of Li River cruises, idyllic countryside, majestic rice terraces and ethnic minorities.

Explore special karst landforms at Reed Flute Cave and Elephant Trunk Hill. Relax on a boat cruise on the Li River, meandering down between the beautiful peaks. Ride a bicycle on an off-the-beaten-path country road and see the rural scenery of grazing buffaloes, farmers working in the fields and small villages with old buildings among green hills.

Day 1Guilin Arrival

Please go to Guilin Liangjiang Airport by yourself. When you arrive at Guilin Airport, a local driver will pick you up from the exit gate with a welcome board with your name on it.

Then you will be transferred to your hotel in downtown Guilin for check-in. The rest of the time you can groom yourself or explore the Two Rivers and Four Lakes area.

Day 2Guilin - Longsheng - Guilin

Attractions: Longji Rice Terrace, Huangluoyao Village, Ping’an Zhuang Village

After breakfast, drive to Longji Rice Terraces. The vast paddy fields offer tourists a leisurely hike and some of the most breathtaking views in China, and are especially beloved by many photographers.

There are several ethnic minority villages around, and you will visit Huangluoyao Village. Known for its long-haired tradition, there are over 60 women with hair over a metre long. During your visit here, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the unique long hair show in this village.

Move to Ping’an Zhuang Village and experience the quintessential Longji experience – the most photogenic and spectacular view of the terraced fields, with several ideal viewpoints. After the sightseeing, transfer back to your hotel.

Day 3Guilin - Yangshuo

Today is the highlight of the trip to Guilin. Take a boat ride on the picturesque Li River and enjoy the most beautiful scenery in Guilin and even China. There are gorgeous karst peaks, traditional villages, bamboo raft fishermen and so on.

After the 4-hour cruise, you will disembark in Yangshuo. Explore the famous West Street with your guide. A pedestrian street with a history of more than 1400 years, West Street is famous for its quaint buildings, delicious local snacks, exotic cafes and bars, various craft shops, etc.

Day 4Yangshuo - Guilin

Attractions: Moon Hill, Big Banyan Tree, Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill, Puxian Tower

Hotel: Overnight in Guilin

Today, you will get on a bike and ride in the beautiful countryside of Yangshuo. Cross the towering limestone mountains on both sides, enjoy stunning scenery and get in touch with nature. During the 4-5 hour drive, you will visit the Big Banyan Tree and Moon Hill.

At the end of the exciting morning, return to Guilin and continue to Reed Flute Cave. Step inside the cave, surrounded by various stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars, stalactites, drapery formed by water erosion and carbonate deposition.

Head to Elephant Trunk Hill, named for its shape that looks like an elephant drinking water. This is a small park with Puxian Tower on the top of the mountain, you can climb the tower to see the Li River. Finally, stay at a local hotel in Guilin.

Day 5Guilin

Free time in the morning. At the confirmed time (according to your flight), the driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Guilin Airport.
