Upon your arrival at Urumqi airport / train station, the local driver will pick you up from the exit gate by holding a welcome board with your name and transfer to downtown hotel for check-in. After a short rest, you will start the exploration with Erdaoqiao International Bazaar. It’s one of the largest-scaled bazaars in the world with strong Islam flavor in its buildings. You should not miss this site during your tour to Urumqi, even if you are not going for shopping, you would favor the experience for the strong ethnic flavor here. Eyes are dazzled by an overwhelming of goods in the stalls while ears are excited by the hawking.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will officially start the Silk Road tour. On the way, you will see the Kalamaili Nature Reserve. If you are lucky, you may see wild donkeys and goats running on the Gobi Desert. 

Later, drive down the hill to Burqin, enjoy the sunset of Five-colored Beach, walk into the colorful Beach, you will feel as if in a dream world. The unique lava landscape consisted of purplish red, Vandyke red, yellow and light green mudstone, sandstone and gravel. This is the most beautiful colorful Beach, the masterpiece of nature, and the miracle of Burqin.

The mesmerizing Kanas Nature Reserve is a must-see for visitors to Xinjiang. After about 4 hours’ ride on the winding road, you will arrive at Jiadengyu for lunch, and then take the scenic shuttle bus to the legendary Kanas Lake. You may have never seen such a beautiful mountain lake. As the seasons change, the lake bursts into different colors, crystal blue, dark green or even gray. Walking from one bay to another and taking some pictures, you will have a relaxing time immersing yourself in the idyllic beauty. Because the natural beauty is unspoiled and local people still keep the original simple lifestyle here, it is dubbed as “the pure land on earth” as well as “the oriental Switzerland”. 

Strolling along the Kanas River, you will see the virgin forests, Fairy Bay, Wolong Bay, Moon Bay, and Wild Duck Lake which would be a perfect chance to take nice pictures! Finishing the relaxing sightseeing, you will check into the hotel.

In the morning, you will continue the Kanas Lake tour. You may have never seen such a beautiful mountain lake. As the seasons change, the lake bursts into different colors, crystal blue, dark green or even gray. If you don’t have enough time on the previous day, you can walk from one bay to another and take pictures today. You will have a relaxing time immersing yourself in idyllic beauty and embracing nature. 

Later, drive to Hemu Village. Hemu Village is one of the three settlements of Tuva people in China. We will enter the village on a shuttle bus. It’s truly a paradise for photographers. The tranquil village, dense woods, and herds of cattle and sheep make a picturesque landscape. You can freely walk around the village to experience the unique lifestyle of the local Tuva people who have lived here for centuries.

Enjoy morning fog in Hemu Village in the morning and continue some relaxing walking in the village.

Passing by Karamy, the famous oil city, and travel along the Gurbantunggut Desert to the Urho Ghost City, also known as “Wuerhe Wind City”, a unique wind-eroded geological area commonly referred to as “wind city” because of the frequent howling winds. this is the most beautiful Yadan Landform in the region. When we arrive at the entrance, we will take the shuttle bus, which is shaped like a small train. you can visit the entire Ghost city by shuttle bus. 

In the afternoon, drive to Karamy for overnight.
