Overview:
See the Chinese imperial palace used from the Ming dynasty to the end of the Qing dynasty up close on this private, 4-hour tour of the Forbidden City, including special skip-the-line access. Along the way, you’ll also get to see Tiananmen Square and Jinshan Park. Please be aware that this tour doesn’t include transportation to and from the attractions, but your private guide can help you get a taxi or other form of transport (own expense).

Your private guide will greet you in the lobby of your hotel .Then take personal Uber with Air-conditioned or walk (if your hotel close by ) to Tiananmen Square . The tour finish after Jingshan Park, your guide can help you get Uber or taxi ( Own expense ) .Then you can go any place you need , just feel free to ask , your guide will show you best advice based on your requests.
Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang)
Your first stop is Tiananmen Square , the world’s largest central squares. It’s located in the geographical heart of the city. Stand amid the history as your guide explains its past and points out its significant buildings. Please note : Enter to Tiananmen Square always long line , but we can skip the line if no government event on the day.
Then pass by and you can take pictures of these:Monument of the People’s Heroes, National Museum Of China, Great Hall of the People (Renmin Dahuitang) , Chairman Mao Memorial Hall (Maozhuxi Jiniantang), Tian’anmen.
Forbidden City-The Palace Museum
Thereafter, you’ll continue into the Forbidden City shrouded with mysteries. During the walking tour, you may feel confused about the special designs and totems of the palace, especially the cultural meaning behind them. Why there are 9 sculptures of mythical animals on the roof ridge of Hall of Supreme Harmony but not 8 or 10; why there are 9999.5 but not 10000 rooms in the palace; Why the eyes and ears of the stone lions in front of the Palace of Tranquility and Longevity blocked… With the historical knowledge from your guide, you will gradually uncover these cultural secrets and explore a more different Forbidden City you’ve ever heard about.
You will pass by Meridian Gate (Wu Men) , Hall of Great Harmony (Taihe Dian) , Hall of Preserving Harmony (Baohedian) , The Imperial Garden of The Palace Museum, The Nine Dragon Screen of The Palace Museum, Turret of The Palace Museum.
Jingshan Park (Jingshan Gongyuan)
After a close insight of the Forbidden City, you are going to exit in the north and then climb up to Jingshan Park which is the best spot to overlook the panorama of the Forbidden City. Just prepare to embrace the stunning scenery. At last, ask your guide for transportation information to your next destination before bidding farewell to your guide.
